From the Administrator

"For more than 50 years this local public health agency has served the people of Webster County. It has a long history of caring service to community members, regardless of their race, age, religion or socioeconomic status. As we move into 2010, it is my hope that people will continue to find the Webster County Health Unit a trusted source of quality, compassionate medical care.

The staff at the Health Unit are committed to providing excellent public health care, to prevent, promote and protect public health in our community. But we cannot do it alone. Quality public health requires an entire community. We need each resident of Webster County to understand the importance of immunizations, clean water, safe food and other issues that impact all of us everyday.

It has been said that public health in a community is only as bad as the public will tolerate or as good as they will make it. We want to work with members of our community to ensure Webster County is a safe and healthy place to live - a community we can all be proud to raise our children in, without fear of deadly disease outbreaks, unclean water and unsafe living conditions.

Public health impacts all of us every day. Thank you for your willingness to work with us to improve public health in Webster County."
