This is a service-oriented entity existing to serve the people of Webster County, Missouri. The Webster County Health Unit was established in 1957 by a vote of the people to support a health department with a mil tax ($.07 per $100 valuation of property taxes). It has grown from one county nurse and one clerk to a staff of the following: 1 nurse practioner 5 registered nurses 1 licensed practical nurse 1 nutritionist 1 environmental public health specialist 6 clerical personnel 1 health educator Many services are offered. All services are provided without discrimination as to race, creed, ethnicity, religion, social status or financial status. Respect for the people we serve and for each other is practiced here.
